A mini-series of TV soapie, Isidingo, is once again set to hit the screen. From Monday, 18 December, SABC3 viewers will be treated to a double dose of Isidingo.
Producers have promised this season of the mini-series, entitled Isidingo – The Truth, will be the most entertaining yet, as it takes viewers through the drama of a gold heist on the Deep that sees the return of romantic hero, Alec (Craig Urbani).
What is likely to be the most surprising of all is the emergence of Barker’s (Robert Whitehead) soft side, when he comes to learn the true meaning of Christmas.
Mine manager, Vusi (Meshack Mavuso), police chief Niemand (Robert Veltman) and Lee (Ashley Callie) are also among those from the usual cast who feature in this spin-off.
The Isidingo mini-series was first launched in 2004. Pumla Hopa, Isidingo producer says, “The mini-series gives us the opportunity to tell more edgy and gritty stories, which are more favourable to the 19:30 slot, while still keeping the 18:30 viewers enthralled”. “We look forward to keeping our audience on the edge of the seats with action, drama and love stories during this holiday season”, concludes Hopa.
Isidingo – The Truth will be aired on Monday, 18 December at 19:30, only on SABC3.
