Music fans listen up! If you’re planning a New Year’s Eve party to remember then Channel O has everything you need – and so much more!

Continuing a tradition set by Africa’s original African channel over the years, Channel O has nabbed some of Africa’s top DJs to play just for you from 08:00 on Thursday, 31 December right up until the stroke of midnight brings in the new year.

Titled Celebrity Lower Level Bassment, the 16 hour non-stop party sees nine DJs spinning their favourite tunes in a seamless mix for one hour each.

The party starts at 08:00 with DJ Kenzero, a Johannesburg-based DJ whose 'Party People' sessions are the stuff of legends. Next up is DJ Euphonik who is one of South Africa’s best known radio presenters; producers; and, of course, DJs, who consistently delivers to the dance-floor and the airwaves.

Nigerian DJ now living in the UK, DJ Shy Shy Shylon, is also in the mix, taking to the decks at the stroke of noon – just 12 hours away from the dawn of 2010. The hottest female DJ on the block, DJ Zinhle, takes over at 14:00 to showcase just why she’s up there with the best dance talent on the continent.

Soweto-born DJ Milkshake, aka Kagiso Milkshake, is on the decks at 16:00, and he’s set to deliver some top hip hop and R&B tunes on the day, adding to the mix of house and more that’ll keep the party pumping all day long.

Channel O favourite, DJ Pierre, is another highlight of the Celebrity Lower Level Bassment and he’s followed by DJ C-Live who was nurtured by the legendary hip hop DJs Blaze and Bionic and is now a bonafide DJ talent in his own right. Then it’s the turn of one of the most talented bearers of the Durban’s Finest’s flag – DJ Tira who takes to the decks at 22:00.

Finally, and in fitting Channel O style, there’s no better DJ to see in the New Year than our own DJ Waxxy whose been mixing it up since 1991 and has now joined the African DJ stratosphere with his work in SA; in Nigeria; and all over the world.
