From July to 23 September you could pay as little as R80 per adult and free access for children under 1.2m with Gold Reef City Theme Park’s Ride the Weather promotion. You'll have even more reason to brave the morning cold and get an early start for your fun-filled day at the Theme Park for the duration of this promotion.
Entrance fees this winter are tied to the temperature as follows:
- Less than 10 degrees: Adults pay R80; kids under 1.2m get in for free.
- 10 to 15 degrees: Adults pay R100; kids under 1.2m pay R50.
- More than 15 degrees and less than 18 degrees: Adults pay R120; kids under 1.2m pay R70.
- Above 18 degrees: Normal entrance fees apply to all; Adults pay R140 and kids under 1.2m pay R90.
Most of the attractions that make Gold Reef City Theme Park Gauteng’s favourite family entertainment destination will be running throughout the winter months - from adrenalin-pumping adventure rides like the Golden Loop; Anaconda; or Tower of Terror, to the larger-than-life illusions created in the 4D.
In addition, you can enjoy a range of street entertainment (like gumboot dancing); magic shows; and so much more. Added to the entertainment, Gold Reef City Theme Park offers restaurants and fast food outlets to satisfy every taste. Options include Dig Inn; Anat; Chip ‘n Dip; King Pie; Mugg & Bean; and Ola Milky Lane.
Admission to the Theme Park includes all rides; shows; and exhibitions, but excludes 'Jozi's Story of Gold’. The Theme Park is open from Wednesdays to Sundays, 09:30 to 17:00 and on public holidays.
