Masters of Rhythm showdown open to fans

Fans of the Vuzu television show, Masters of Rhythm, now have the chance to be in the audience in the final stage of the proudly South African reality dance show. The final showdown takes place on Saturday, 3 September at Ellis Park Arena in Johannesburg.
The Masters of Rhythmfinale sees the remaining three dance crews – AI, The Reptilez and Street Stylerz - battle it out in front of an audience to see who will wear the crown of South Africa’s best hip-hop dance crew!
This is the culmination of three months of scouring the country for the best dance crew in the land – a reality series that has kept Vuzu viewers gripped. Saturday 3 September sees the final episode filmed in the evening at Ellis Park Arena with a guest performance by multiple Channel O Music Video Awards nominee, AKA (Most Gifted Newcomer Video, Most Gifted Hip Hop Video and Most Gifted Video of the Year.
In the build-up to the filming of the television show and the announcement of South Africa’sMasters of Rhythm, fans have the chance to experience an array of brilliant entertainment. Starting at 10:00, the prelude to the showdown features performances by two other multi-Channel O Music Video Awards nominees, Khuli Chana (nominated for Most Gifted African Southern Video and Most Gifted Video of the Year) and L-Tido (nominated for Most Gifted African Southern Video) along with Kwesta (nominee for Most Gifted Newcomer Video). The daytime prelude to the Masters of Rhythm final also includes poetry, krumping, B-Boying, emcee battles, beat-boxing and plenty of other cool things to keep fans entertained during the day.
Masters of Rhythm is the biggest dance event in the Southern Hemisphere- drawing roughly 10 000 people each year. It was conceptualised by the founding members of Clinch City Entertainment in 2006, which include Mernoly Simba, Jay Kayembe, Olie Kayembe and Lalla Hirayama, and later, Fred Mercury, Steph Gregson as well as Clementine Mabena. Since then, Vuzu has taken the dance competition to all new heights as a 13-part reality television series showcasing South Africa’s top 12 Hip Hop dance crews battling it out to be crowned the ultimateMasters of Rhythm.
