Aimed at training artists, Arterial Network wants to include as many Southern African Diaspora participants who are currently residing in South Africa, Namibia, Swaziland, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Zambia and Mozambique on how to effectively fundraise for the arts using the Arterial Network Arts Fundraising Toolkit. The toolkits received an enthusiastic response when introduced to representatives from 29 African countries at a third AN Winter School in Bamako, Mali, earlier this year.

“A train the trainer component aims to equip participants to be able to train others in their country and/or their region in preparation for Arterial Network/African Arts Institute’s 2012-2014 training programmes on the continent,” explained Mike Van Graan, secretary general for Arterial Network.
