This new musical comedy is set in contemporary Cape Town and moves between Wynberg and Woodstock, Grassy Park and the Waterfront. It features Larissa Hughes as Inspector Mercia Meintjies, Jill Middelkop as Tammy the night club singer, Abduragman Adams as Big Bucks the notorious crime boss and Alistair Izobel as Jasper Johnson and Tony. Also in the cast are Kirsten Murphy, Stephanie Williams, Saajida Noble, Zakariyah Toerien and Carlo Daniels with choreography by Tony Award nominee, Loukmaan Adams.

David Kramer is one of the most successful creators of original musical theatre in South Africa and has written 17 new songs for this production. Lottering is famous for his stand-up comedy and Christo Davids is well-known for his role as Errol in SABC’s 7de Laan and his award-winning performance in the stage drama, My Naam is Ellen Pakkies. In Some Like it Vrot, Smiley (Marc) and Fuad (Christo) become entangled in a life threatening situation and have to run for their lives. Inspector Meintjies, with the help of Tony, comes up with a novel and outrageous solution to help them escape their predicament.

The season is running from Mondays to Fridays at 20:00 and on Saturdays at 17:00 and 20:30, until 14 January 2012. Tickets cost from R90 to R150 via Computicket or 083 915 8000. Special discounts are available at all performances for students, groups of ten or more and Senior Citizens.
