Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito star in Junior
Media 99
If ever there was a far-fetched scenario, it would be Arnold Schwarzenegger – of Terminator and Conan the Barbarian (and, more recently, California ‘Governator’) fame – growing a baby bump.
It’s precisely because of this idea, that the film is so funny. In it, Schwarzenegger plays a scientist (no kidding) who agrees to carry a baby in his own body as part of a fertility research project.
The film stars Danny DeVito (Ruthless People) – who previously starred alongside Schwarzenegger in Twins – and double Oscar®-winner Emma Thompson (Howard’s End, Sense and Sensibility).
Junior was nominated for an Oscar® (for best original song – Carole Bayer Sager and Patti Smyth’s ‘Look What Love Has Done’) as well as for Golden Globes for best song®, and for the comedy acting talents of Thompson and Schwarzenegger. Directed by Ivan Reitman (1994.
Catch Junior on Sony Entertainment Television (DStv Channel 113) on Tuesday, 20 March at 20:30.
