Renowned financial journalist and radio personality, Bruce Whitfield, has joined CNBC Africa, the continent’s largest business television news channel, with the introduction of his new show, Squawk with Bruce Whitfield, sponsored by Nedbank Capital.
This show highlights, analyses and thrashes out the most important and interesting market-moving events and activities, globally and locally, including the week’s most impactful companies news and for the traders out there, the JSE’s gainers and losers. Whitfield is joined every week by fund managers, traders and other investment experts.
Whitfield has been awarded numerous accolades, including the Sanlam Financial Journalist of the Year, the Citadel Words on Money Overall Winner for Personal Finance Writing and the Citi South Africa Financial Journalist of the Year in 2009. He has also been named the best financial broadcaster in the MTN Radio Awards for three years running and was awarded the ‘Best Money Writer’ in the 2012 Telkom Classic Business Journalist of the Year Awards.
