This follows the successful acquisition of the publication from Xtreme Media Group, which has published the magazine since its inception in 2003. Reiners has been the title’s national business manager and associate publisher since Monday, 1 October 2012.

Most of Reiners' 23 year career in motoring journalism was spent at the renowned Wheels Motoring Annual, where she progressed from assistant editor to editor and executive editor, a role she fulfilled for the four years prior to her tenure with Xtreme Media Group. During this time, she was also the motoring correspondent for Nexus, the official magazine of the South African Correctional Services, and was also a regular contributor to the Cars4Women website. Reiners is currently a committee member of the SA Guild of Motoring Journalists, tasked with running the Guild’s bursar programme. Having been on the jury for the annual WesBank/SAGMJ Car of the Year competition for many years, she was recently asked to act as a judge in the Women on Wheels Car of the Year Awards too.

Car &amp Leisure magazine has carved a niche for itself amongst the plethora of motoring and related publications on the shelf today. Offering readers a unique combination of cars, motorcycles, boats and the like, I am convinced that it has the potential to become one of the leading and most influential motoring/lifestyle publications in the country. My team and I are committed to making that happen,” remarks Reiners.

Car &amp Leisure magazine will continue to be published on a bi-monthly basis, with Car &amp Leisure Publishing’s first issue on shelf in August. The August/September issue also celebrates the title’s 10th anniversary, with a host of exclusive and celebratory content included. Christo Valentyn, who will remain editor of the publication, joins Reiners at the helm of the publication and Rob Till remains the magazine’s chief photographer.
