Scientologists at War provides a rare insight into the Church of Scientology
Media 72
The documentary, Scientologists at War, looks at the controversial church of Scientology, and the highlevel defectors who have renounced their membership from the organisation. It airs on Tuesday, 18 March at 21:00 on BBC Knowledge, channel 184 on DStv.
Marty Rathbun is one of the most senior defectors in Scientology’s history. He was once the Inspector General of Ethics in the organisation that was created by the science-fiction writer L Ron Hubbard, and worked closely with the church’s leader David Miscavige and its most famous member; the celebrity Tom Cruise. Now, Rathbun helps former members; providing counselling, support and auditing services for those who have cut all ties with the church.
This documentary offers a rare insight into the very secretive Church of Scientology from a man who was once at the very top of the organisation.
Scientologists at War airs on Tuesday, 18 March at 21:00 on BBC Knowledge, channel 184 on DStv.
