Viewers will be rallying behind the acapella groups as they collectively carry the hopes of the regions they represent: Solid from Cape Town; The Legacy from Durban; Legato from Port Elizabeth and Question Mark from Johannesburg.

Relebogile Mabotja, the shows’ music director says; The Sing Off SA has re-lit the acapella flame bright in Mzansi and we couldn’t be more excited for this. All groups throughout the competition have created some unique and addictive sounds of an international standard. The competition has been tough, emotional and challenging for all contestants pushing themselves to their highest potential to give us the best of the best.”

“Our top four demonstrate the variety and versatility that exists in South African music – from isicathamiya, to jazz, afro soul and choral sounds. The Legacy, Solid, Question Mark and Legato deliver to everyone’s tastes. All groups are in it to win it,” adds Mabotja.

The deciding battle for the top three positions will be fought under a hip hop/motswako theme, with HHP creating the right atmosphere with an opening performance. The four remaining groups will perform the judges’ choice and again a choice of their own in order to impress the judges and win their ticket to the next and final round of the competition.

Watch The Sing Off SA on Sunday, 28 June at 18:00 on SABC1.
