Everyone is invited to see how long they can last against the Guinness World Records record attempt, as challengers strive to watch movies continuously for 122 hours to break the world record for the longest movie watching.

Telkom will be streaming movies over its fibre network 24 hours a day to power South Africa’s greatest movie event yet.

Suresh Joachim, from Canada, lost his title to Ashish Sharma in India in 2008 – but now he’s back to reclaim his title.

Meanwhile, 10 South African movie fans will be battling it out against each other and Joachim, as they all strive to be the last participant standing. The current exact record stands at 120 hours 23 minutes.

Movies will be streamed for all tastes and ages, including:
  • Comedy
  • Action
  • Horror
  • Sci-fi
  • Family classics
Food and drinks will be on sale from market vendors at The Sheds.

Tickets are available here.

Tickets are R30. The entire cover charge will go towards non-profit organisation Lifeline, a network of telephone counselling centres and other services offering support to those experiencing emotional distress.
