The event aims to celebrate survivors of breast cancer and their stories of hope, healing, and triumph. The funds that were raised on the day will be donated to create awareness of symptoms for early detection, as well as assist women affected by the disease, throughout South Africa.

Celebrities in attendance were Ryk Neethling, Maps Maponyane, Liezel van der Westhuizen, Clare Wiese Wentzel, Roxy Louw, Aisha Baker, Bonnie Mbuli, and JP Duminy, among others. A Casper Bosman Designer Wear Collection fashion show was held with the female duo master of ceremonies – Mishka Patel and Sechaba G.

The 2017 event supports the St. Stephen Oncology Centre & Sub-Acute Hospital located in Paarl, where cancer care is provided to patients in the Valley. PinkDrive, powering South Africa’s first mobile mammography and educational unit through South Africa, will also receive assistance for the services they render.

The inaugural event entertained guests with a 14-goal polo match between team sponsors Cintron and Vodacom, respectively captained by Springbok players Leroux Hendriks and Tom de Bruin in a bid to win the Cintron Pink Polo trophy. A draw ensued between the two teams.

Vodacom was the official technology partner for the event. BMW Paarlberg was the vehicle partner of choice and Jaeger-LeCoultre kept time at the polo match. Veuve Clicquot Rosé provided premium champagne was provided to guests in the pop-up areas, who were pampered by Sisley and Tosca, respectively the beauty and hair partners for the day.

Sport 24hrs and Taxi’s aimed to ensure that guests arrived on time and get home safely. As official travel partner for the event, Travelstart gave away a surprise travel prize to one guest. Something Different was the official décor partner for the event.

Val de Vie was voted by New World Wealth as the top estate in South Africa for 2015, 2016, and 2017.
