Pasipanodya takes over from Patrick Gearing, who has been appointed as chief executive officer of Meropa.
The company, listed in the

"As a proudly African agency, Meropa is committed to transforming and uplifting society, our industry and our philosophy that those who run the business should own the business," says Gearing.
Pasipanodya, who has been with Meropa for more than 10 years, says she is delighted to lead the company with a strong commitment to facilitating effective communication between clients and the public.
Peter Mann, Meropa chairperson, says, "We are delighted. No one is as deserving as Yolisa to lead the company. She has the passion, she understands our client needs and is a hands-on manager. We are continuing to expand and strengthen the services we deliver to clients – and Yolisa is uniquely placed to lead this growth."
Prior to her appointment, Pasipanodya led Meropa’s public sector business and served on the board. She has managed a host of key clients in both the public and the private sector.
