Eclipse Communications says that, despite 2020 being a challenging year for businesses, it has also been one of significant growth, opportunities and industry recognition.

In May, the agency was awarded Best Large PR Agency by industry body Public Relations Industry of Southern Africa. In September, three Silver Awards were clinched at the New Generation Awards for its two Netflix campaigns 'Blood & Water' and 'Queen Sono'.

And, in October, the agency won the Global Campaign of the Year for the Netflix Blood & Water launch at the SERMO Globe Awards.

With 100% local ownership, of which 51% is black-employee-owned, the agency says that it is responsive to clients' and industry needs, with global competencies and local agility.

CEO and co-founder Steve Powell says that he is proud of the agency's achievements.

"Team members rose above challenges and demonstrated resilience and the ability to offer clients best-in-class strategy and execution. Despite everyone dealing with the impact of COVID-19 on individuals and businesses (even our own), the support our team offered clients is remarkable and admirable," says Powell.

"Their determination to succeed resulted in our agency achieving exceptional results this year, from winning key industry awards to securing global and local accounts such as Pfizer, Veeam, McCain and Country Road Group," adds Powell.

"Winning this award is testament to our agility as a team and our continued pursuit of guiding the growth of our clients and agency," Powell concludes.
