To give you a recap, greenwashing is when a brand or organisation is not truthful about its association with environmentally-friendly or sustainable practices.

This includes making false claims of either being a sustainable entity, selling products that are eco-friendly, or participating in practices that are sustainable.

Why would a brand do this? Well, with Gen Z stepping into the buyer market and strict sustainability policies starting to take place, the purchasing space is demanding that companies start to think green. And what better time for a white lie about going green?
