It is impossible to separate the festive season from the concept of giving.

Some people spend weeks planning the perfect gift to give to their loved ones in December.

Brands should be no different.

Get your Santa hat ready because Alrika Möller from media update explains why brands need to get into the spirit of giving this festive season.

CSI refers to Corporate Social Investment. It sounds fancy, but it basically means investing in the community and giving back. It's charity work with tinsel on top.

Why is this important?

People want to know that the brands they support care — not just about the things they care about but also about the communities that support them.
People are much more socially aware now than they were a few years ago, and a brand's reputation impacts just about everything. Your image matters!

Why now?

The festive season is a perfect time to give back. The needs of others are much more obvious during this time, and people are more focussed on giving during the holidays. I think it has something to do with gifts under a tree or something...

Not to mention — giving back feels amazing!
