Tishala first entered tech PR in 2019, when it publicised the AI EXPO. Through the AI Expo, Tishala says it aimed to gain access to an international tech ecosystem as various start-up companies needed the communication services provided by agencies.

"We are great storytellers. We craft stories that not only convey information, but resonate with a wide audience," says Nomsa Mdhluli, Founder and CEO of Tishala Communications.

With global identity verification and anti-fraud company Sumsub, the agency went on to win a 2025 Gold PRISM Award in the technology category for its campaign titled, 'The Rise of Deepfake Fraud During Elections', says Tishala.

"Winning the award affirmed what we already knew that we are one of the best agencies for tech PR. We have been servicing technology clients for a long time and throughout these years we have honed our expertise in simplifying technological terms and bringing them home to audiences,” adds Mdhluli.

Mdhuli says she has surrounded herself with a group of highly skilled women, each adding value to the agency's service offering. "What is humbling to me is that people have chosen to work with me at Tishala. I don't take that for granted. We work together as a team striving towards a shared vision," she says.

Tishala concludes that its key to success is that it is aims to focus on excellence and always goes above and beyond to meet the communication needs of its clients.
