Started by the now-17-year-old daughter of TV personality, Derek Watts, after her successful battle against brain cancer, the Kirsty Watts Foundation not only gives some of SA’s sick and abandoned children the funds, and medical equipment and facilities they so critically need, but it also gives them hope.
Your ticket to this glamorous, high-adrenalin event will help this ‘kids helping kids’ charity continue its great work: from helping to fund and renovate the TLC Home for Abandoned Babies, to supplying batches of the specially fitted wheelchairs known as ‘Madiba buggies’ to children at the Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital Cerebral Palsy Clinic.
Poker for a purposeHosted at the luxury Bentley showroom in Bryanston, in conjunction with Breitling and South African Rugby Legends, you’ll enjoy an evening of five-card-fever thrills with all the frills, as Full House Events brings the bright lights of the Vegas Strip to William Nicol Drive.
All the games are cashless so only your ego will be at stake. And even if you’re a newcomer to the art of Texas Hold-Em, the skilled croupiers will show you the ropes and have you playing like a pro before the night is out.
In addition to Danny, Kurt and Joel, you might even find yourself battling it out at the final table with rugby greats Ray Mordt, Attie van der Linde, Dave von Hoesslin, Syd Nomis, Hugh Bladen and Mac Masina, and radio personalities Aki Anastasiou, Graeme Joffe and John Walland.
SuperSport will be filming the tussle for a position at the final table, which will be broadcast during the regular South African Rugby Legends programme.
The evening includes hours of poker entertainment, snacks and all drinks. Spot prizes will be presented throughout the evening.
All funds raised will be donated through the Kirsty Watts Foundation to child-focused charities.
