Takalani Sesame’s Muppets head for Pietermaritzburg

South Africa’s much loved Muppets from Takalani Sesame will perform at the Traffic Department, corner Church and Market Road in Pietermaritzburg at 11:00, 11:40 and 15:00 on 22 October.
The Muppets are part of Sanlam’s 2011 road show. Takalani Sesame is fun innovative programming that allows children to celebrate their childhood through learning, loving, playing, laughing and dreaming.
Over the past 11 years, the award-winning Takalani Sesame has provided South Africa’s children with educational, fun, entertaining and quality programming on SABC television channels and radio stations. Muppets Kami, Zikwe, Moshe, Zuzu and Neno will entertain children on stage and in play areas.
Takalani, which means ‘be happy’ in TshiVenda, conveys the spirit of happiness and innocence. Takalani Sesame is brought to the children of South Africa through a partnership between SABC Education and Sanlam. Sanlam have sponsored Takalani Sesame since the first broadcast in 2000.
