The Global CSR Awards recognised Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) champions across various industries. The awards aim at assessing the extent to which CSR projects have succeeded in integrating with corporate functioning; the responsiveness of these projects to the needs of different stakeholders and the development of innovative models to fulfil social responsibilities.

The Blue Dart Global CSR Awards recognises contribution across categories such as Best Corporate Social Responsibility Practices, Support and Improvement in Quality of Education, Diversity and Human Resource, Concern for Health, Poverty Alleviation, Accounting for Climate Change, Carbon Footprint Accounting, Community Development, Regulation of Corporate Social and Environmental Behaviour, Social Entrepreneurship.

The Social Entrepreneurship award recognised Symphonia for South Africa for their innovative leadership development programme where business leaders are partnered with school principals in a co-learning and co-action partnership. Dr Louise van Rhyn, founder and CEO attended the event in India to accept the award on behalf of the team. “It was a huge honour to be at at an international event that honours CSR programmes from across the globe, and to be recognized in this way”, says van Rhyn.
