Urban Bloom is run by avant-garde event stylist Helen O’Connor, who comes with a wealth of global eventing and styling knowledge. What sets O’Connor apart is her experiential approach to design; what one smells, touches, tastes, feels and hears are carefully orchestrated to create the ultimate experience for her clients.
She has always had a passion for design, including Jewellery design at Stellenbosh University and adding to her creative repertoire, an internship with a Floral Master in the Netherlands. She has run an internationally recognised floral and design company for over nine years in Dubai, catering for the very niche end market of celebrity clients, royal weddings and internationally recognized FMCG global brands. She has won various international prestigious awards including the
Swarovski Young Designer Award in 2007, for her work on weddings, and most notably the award for ‘Best on Show’ at the Dubai
International Floral Art Show in 2008.
Urban Bloom caters for customized solutions in the wedding industry, sourcing unique and creatively original concepts. O’Connor has the unique advantage of calling on the latest international contemporary trends and ideas, and personalising them with customers’ own individual flair and budget, creating a magical and memorable event.
Esther Lamprecht is also a business partner, and is considered to be one of the most successful décor experts in the industry. Her magnitude of design experience shows in the spaces she creates with their unique and unforgettable style. This unique combination of designing skills, set both apart from the rest of the eventing industry.
