Her primary responsibility in the role will be to mentor and upskill a strong existing team of middleweight account managers.

Prior to joining Dummett & Co, Oosthuizen spent six years at DUO Marketing + Communications, first as an account manager and then as an account director. Before entering the world of PR in 2007, she worked as the marketing manager at Progress Software for six years, having previously headed up the marketing department for Realtime Computer Services.

So why the move from tech to consumer PR? Oosthuizen says, "I'm passionate about helping clients come up with a plan that enables them to meet their business objectives. Tech PR clients, in particular, demand this, as marketing budgets are extremely tight. While the strategic basis of developing a PR plan is the same across industries, the execution can be different, and I know the Account Management team will play a critical supporting role in this regard."
