Facebook Local brings together 70 million business listings and reviews, with your friends’ check ins, to help you discover new bars, restaurants, and events nearby as well as what’s currently trending.
Facebook Local can be found in the sidebar menu where you can search for nearby places based on name and location, as well as by category: 'eat and drink', 'see and do', 'events', and 'place history'. You can also filter places by price, those visited by friends or those that are open right now.
The recommendations come up in an easily digestible format and link straight back to the events or business page, where you can 'Like', 'Comment' or save the details, and even recommend them to friends and family.
