According to Oberlo, the average TikTok user spends about an hour on the app each day, making it the perfect platform to gain visibility.

This means that the app is overflowing with content, and you'll be fighting really hard to gain attention on everyone's "for you" page.

1. Nail the Hook

You need to start strong. There are millions of videos on TikTok, and if your first few seconds aren't engaging enough, viewers will just keep on scrolling. So, ask a question, create suspense, or use text overlays to grab attention early on.

2. Use Trending Sounds and Hashtags

By aligning your video with what's trending, you give it a better shot at getting picked up by the algorithm. People love engaging with the trends, so shoot your shot with your own "Nothing beats a Jet2 holiday" post to get more views.

Trending sounds and hashtags work wonders, but only if you're using them correctly; if you use them as "viewbait", you will just be scrolled on.

3. Post Consistently and at Peak Times

To maximise your views on TikTok, make sure you are posting daily during high-traffic windows, as this will help in boosting engagement on your videos.

According to Buffer on Shopify, top-performing content globally was most often posted at these times:

  • Monday: 7 p.m., 6 p.m., 5 p.m.

  • Tuesday: 4 p.m., 8 p.m., 2 p.m.

  • Wednesday: 5 p.m., 6 p.m., 4 p.m.

  • Thursday: 5 p.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m.

  • Friday: 4 p.m., 2 p.m., 6 p.m.

  • Saturday: 5 p.m., 4 p.m., 7 p.m.

  • Sunday: 8 p.m., 5 p.m., 4 p.m.

Remember that the secret to gaining visibility on TikTok is by mastering the algorithm.
