Aimed at communicating broadcast details and reinforcing awareness within the LSM 4 – 7 segment, e.tv has secured a deal with Primedia Unlimited subsidiary Wideopen Platform to dominate the Johannesburg City centre through Wideopen’s unique City Advertising Package for the free to air channel’s generic programming as well as locally produced programmes Scandal, Rhythm City, 20 Something, eNews and Sunrise.

Wideopen’s City Package allows e-tv to dominate 10 large format sites and the media owner’s new initiative, wall murals in and around the bustling Johannesburg CBD. The strategic site locations create a holistic walk-through effect for advertiser’s campaigns and allow communication to be digested from multiple platforms in a single passage through the city streets. The billboard locations are at Manchester House, Pinnacle College, Deans, Chicken Delite, Bargain Finder, Ishmael’s Curtains, Tropika and Wotan whilst the logo sites are situated at Ascot Mansions and Birmingham House. The City Package sites collectively offer an impressive 3000m2 of e.tv brand space.

“e.tv’s objective on launching was to achieve high reach and impact and to ensure that the e.tv brand and select programmes are highly visible, both day and night. A high frequency level is required to pique interest and ensure the continued viewership of the channel is driven home,” Ryan Cohen, Sales Director at Wideopen Platform.
