"Listening is more important than ever before; it's how we connect with each other, get perspective and discover more about ourselves," says Spotify.

'Listening is Everything' includes Music, Meet Podcasts, a series of digital videos featuring a variety of local artists such as Sho Madjozi, Elaine, Nasty C.

Additionally, it comprises podcasts including The Gareth Cliff Show and The Daily Show With Trevor Noah: Ears Edition. The series aims to highlight its personalised, curated and exclusive content.

The localised campaign is live across 23 markets, including South Africa, and will run across social, digital and OOH.

Sara Milionico, head of consumer marketing in the Middle East and Africa for Spotify, says that the new campaign is about 'representing the platform for what it really is'.

"'Listening is Everything' brings to life the integral role that music plays in our everyday lives — whether it's streaming your favourite song to express your mood, get motivated or simply have fun," says Milionico.

"The new campaign reinforces how Spotify fits into our lives through the availability of 60 million songs — from the latest to the classics, alongside access to four billion playlists, seamless integration — across apps and hardware. And the best part is you can listen to music for free," concludes Milionico.

Listeners are encouraged to download the Spotify app via the Android or iOS app store or by heading to the app website. Listeners can embed Spotify into another website by right-clicking on any playlist, going to 'share' and subsequently 'copy embed code'.
