"My focus has always been to work hard. With hard work, sacrifices are inevitable, but I believe this set me up for success — especially since I am living my passion," says du Plooy.
"Becoming a director and shareholder was a surprise but such a huge honour. I drew inspiration from Willem Haarhoff, who believes that it is not only about time and sacrifice but also how that translates into value which is what really matters," adds du Plooy.
Willem Haarhoff, co-founder of DoughGetters, says that du Plooy has 'really proved herself' since she started at DoughGetters. "We couldn't think of anyone more deserving of this promotion. She's earned every stripe and we look forward to the value she will continue to bring to the team," says Haarhoff.
"The passion of DoughGetters has always been to be innovative and understand our clients' needs in a market that changes daily. For this specific reason, we always need people who get it and who won't back down from solving things our clients struggle with," adds Haarhoff.
"We needed someone with a creative background, someone who sees past the numbers. This is what makes DoughGetters unique — we engage with our clients on a human-to-human level," Haarhoff says.
DoughGetters aims to design processes that will help anyone love technology, and vice versa. The company says that its love for people and technology is what sets it apart from their competitors.
"My dream is to spend more time sitting around a dinner table with our clients where we listen, strategise and learn about our clients' passions so that we can better the way we do things," concludes du Plooy.
