MAPS is a survey focused on the South African consumer. It is developed by the Marketing Research Foundation, in partnership with Plus 94 Research. Built on AMPS, it focuses on product and brand research and segmentation data.
According to Plus 94 Research, 2020 was a difficult year for the market research industry as the various alert levels restricted movement and fieldwork. This forced Plus 94 Research to strategise a new approach to providing quality research in a constantly changing landscape.
The company was one of the first market research companies to start fieldwork during the initial lockdown. With the help of an internal health and safety committee, the fieldwork units were trained on important sanitisation and PPE protocols. Spot checks were conducted by the committee to ensure that the safety of both Plus 94 Research staff and research respondents was upheld.
"Plus 94 Research is thankful that amidst often trying circumstances brought on by Covid-19, environmental as well as logistical factors, our field team stood firm and managed not only to complete their work with finesse but to exceed expectations," says Plus 94 Research field director Sunny Zondo.
"Our fieldwork staff showed that strong leadership, dedication to an ideal and teamwork are the hallmarks of a successful business unit," Zondo concludes.
Plus 94 Research says that it is proud to have provided employment to its fieldwork staff during this uncertain time. The company has sent its deepest gratitude to its staff.
The MRF and Plus 94 Research have indicated that the first wave results will be released in March 2021 to survey subscribers.
