Zizi Digital has encouraged youth to explore self-employment opportunities in an effort to combat the recent statistics.

The campaign honours the youth of 1976, says the agency. Zizi Digital seeks to encourage the spirit of entrepreneurship by giving away R5 000 to a youth-owned start-up to assist and help progress their businesses.

"As a Black, female, start-up owner, I believe that this is the prime opportunity to create your own employment. I believe that the youth of today hold the key to our nation's future and success," says Nombulelo Nana Malinga, founder and director of Zizi Digital.

Youth-owned start-ups are called to enter through the official Zizi Digital social media platforms. There, users will find more information and a chance to spread awareness, as well as enter to help support the movement.

Zizi Digital is a full-service digital consultancy specialising in social media marketing. The consultancy was established in July 2020 and aims to be the agent to "get the '#conversation' going" from a digital perspective.
