Digify Africa says that the win affirms that it continues to lead innovation in e-learning and is at the forefront of digital skills delivery excellence.

The organisation has a 10-year track record of delivering impact-driven engagements across South Africa, Nigeria and Kenya.

In 2020, Digify Africa partnered with Techsys and Meta to create the DigiBot, a WhatsApp-driven learning platform that enables easy access to educational content.

The platform says that it has since then been blazing new trails in education innovation, reaching hundreds of thousands of learners across the continent.

Digify Africa CEO Gavin Weale says, "Winning across five categories feels like a massive deal for us as a small company up against the country's biggest agencies. More importantly, I hope this demonstrates beyond question the power and potential of our product and its ability to engage learners at scale in an utterly unique way."

According to Digify Africa, the DigiBot uses the WhatsApp messaging app to provide a range of learning material and tools — from digital literacy to Internet safety to demand-driven digital skills.

The DigiBot has trained over 100 000 learners, with well over one million topics having been completed. The DigiBot platform boasts world-class features and functionality and runs the best WhatsApp bots technology worldwide.

The five wins secured by the DigiBot are as follows:

  • Public Service and NPO Platforms: Silver Pixel
  • Platform Innovation: Silver Pixel
  • Craft — Software, Coding & Technical Innovation: Silver Pixel
  • Channel Innovation: Bronze Pixel, and
  • Bots, Messaging, and Dark Social: Bronze Pixel.

Since its launch, the DigiBot platform has received numerous award recognitions, including:
  • a Silver at the New Gen Awards for Most Innovative App
  • two Assegai Awards in Use Of New Technology and Innovative Solutions, and
  • a Gold MMA Smarties Award for Social Messaging / Chat Apps / Text Messaging.
The DigiBot platform was also shortlisted for a Cannes Lion Award in Mobile for Social Purpose in June, putting African digital innovation on the global stage.

Digify Africa concludes that the five Bookmark Awards are a great addition to the DigiBot's collection.
