The South African launch follows kick-offs in Argentina and Japan, aimed at reinforcing Corona Cero's brand ethos of helping the world unwind. The campaign is built on a vital insight: while lunch is best served under the sun, modern work culture has pulled professionals indoors. In South Africa, this pressure is acute; local data shows that 36% of employees experience excessive daily stress, and over 71% are disengaged at work.

To provide a tangible "stress antidote", Corona Cero has deployed 'Sun Tags' — custom-designed, modular furniture units that "tag" existing infrastructure without permanent intervention.

According to Corona, these installations turn overlooked spaces into functional escapes:

  • Tactical Urban Furniture: Custom units including Railing Tables, Stairs Tables and Pole Tables are attached to the Waterfront's infrastructure, creating social hubs.
  • Biophilic Design: Each unit features natural wood veneers and integrated planters with live greenery to "soften" the urban environment and reconnect users with nature.
  • A Deliberate Pause: The activation invites visitors to enjoy a 0.0% alcohol Corona Cero outdoors, transforming a rushed desk lunch into a mindful moment of restoration.

The 'Sun Tags' furniture system was fabricated by local teams using 3D-printed tools and sustainably sourced woods, showcasing a commitment to local craft and tactical urbanism, says Corona.

Capetonians and visitors can experience these Daytime Oases at the V&A Waterfront until Wednesday, 8 April.
