Votes have been cast, fans have been on Facebook, and entire communities have
gone online to ensure their favourite advert gets the support needed to win the R100 000 grand prize in the YogiSip Doing it for TV Campaign.

Voting has now officially closed, and there is nothing left for the top three entrants to do but wait for the massive YogiSip party being held on Thursday, 11 June at FTV Cedar Square, where the winner will be handed a cheque for R100 000 and treated like a real YogiVIP!

The Do it for TV campaign started in January 2009 with all fun-loving Yogi Sip consumers invited to create their own YogiSip inspired TV ad on www.yogisip.co.za and show how YogiSip is the sip snack that keeps you going.

There have been over 1.6-million hits on the website, with 350 adverts being uploaded and voted for.

Surprisingly, 10% of the active daily viewers on the site were from the USA, proving how entertaining the Yogi Sip consumers actually are.

The interactive nature of the website allowed fans to post comments, vote for their favourites and watch all the ads. The competition was fierce, the comments smart and the support from young and old South Africans amazing.

The top three finalists, in no particular order, in the official voting category, are Blown Away, in support of anti-human trafficking; Makes Seniors Strong, put together by a retirement home in Somerset West in the hopes of raising funds for the home;
and Yogi Car, a funny look at boys in cars.

According to Katrien Grobler, Marketing Manager of Danone Clover, the campaign has been a huge success. “The YogiSip and Young & Rubicam team are tremendously proud to be a part of the talent and creativity our entrants have shown. As a marketer ,it has been a privilege to be part of a campaign where consumers truly interact with the brand and get the opportunity to really tell us what they would like to see. In order to truly reach the youth market one has to remain relevant, real and in touch with latest technology. Our ad agency, Y & R has also contributed a great deal with their creativity and strategic input. We have been astounded by the amount of entrants on the website and the interest and support from our fans. It has been fun and rejuvenating working on this campaign. We can’t wait to announce the winner on Thursday night!”

The top three ads can be viewed on www.yogisip.co.za, and the winners will be up on the site as soon as the announcements have been made.
