Before joining M&C Saatchi Abel, Robert worked for the London-based consultancy, 5one, and set-up of its 5one South African operation. 5one is a global leader in customer information based strategy. Robert primarily managed a joint venture operation with Clicks, and worked with Woolworths on the development of customer-centric retailing and CRM strategies.
He started his career in 2002 at Ogilvy Cape Town, working on Old Mutual (across a number of divisions) and Woolworths Financial Services. Four years later he became the youngest Business Director managing a number of clients, including MWEB; Audi South Africa; Sissy Boy; and South African Tourism. When Ogilvy was awarded Woolworths Financial Services, Robert was appointed to manage the account putting into practice his BTL and CRM experience.
