Net#work BBDO has been appointed by local publisher, Ndalo Media, as its new creative agency. Moving into its third year, Ndalo Media decided to appoint Net#work BBDO to review its brand positioning and strategy, in order to grow its print and online platforms.
Net#work BBDO’s first brief is to kick off a radio campaign for Ndalo Media’s Destiny Man, which celebrates its first anniversary this July.
Carin Dreyer, Marketing Manager for Destiny and Destiny Man says: “Net#work BBDO instantly showed great depth in their ideas and an immediate understanding of the Ndalo Media brand as a whole. Their fresh approach and quick grasp of Ndalo Media’s strategic thinking proved them to be the right fit for our brands.”
Destiny magazine’s current ABC circulation stands at 25 752 strong, with a readership of over 220 000 – making it one of South Africa’s most widely read monthlies. Destiny Man has also been performing well, after a year on local magazine stands. Both magazines’ websites have proved to be quite popular as well, along with both publications’ social media- presence: Destiny magazine’s Facebook fan page currently ranks as one of the Top 10 corporate Facebook fan pages in South Africa.
Ndalo Media’s Destiny Man magazine celebrates its first anniversary off the back of strong market growth and an ever-increasing advertiser and reader base, pointing to its unique ability to successfully tap into the needs of this previously neglected market. Destiny Man equally engages professional men on an intellectual and emotional level. This formula, combined with its positive, motivational and highly inspirational messaging, has seen the title make a significant market impact.
The first anniversary July/ August-edition of Destiny Man features some of South Africa’s biggest icons, including cover star Nelson Mandela; FW de Klerk, sharing his lessons learned; musician, Hugh Masekela, on what makes an icon; and, Integr8 Group joint, CEO Rob Sussman. The bumper sports section includes exclusive interviews with FIFA World Player of the Year, Lionel Messi; and sporting icons Doctor Khumalo; Shaun Pollock; Chester Williams; and Gary Player.
