Chosen candidates are not only employed and mentored by partner agencies, but also remunerated and enrolled on the AAA media module and AMASA Media Planning Workshop.

According to AMASA, its core focus is to attract bright young minds into media, ensure that they excel, and then strive to keep the intellect within the industry. With the aim of growing the pool of talent in the media industry, the non-profit organisation calls on all students with a tertiary qualification, in any field.

Each year AMASA partners with South Africa’s leading media agencies for mentoring and fast-tracking hands on experience. AMASA’s chairman, Brad Aigner comments, “The AMASA Learnership Programme calls to graduates who not only possess exceptional academic credentials, but significant potential. Our mandate is to drive the development of smart young people in our industry and offer talented graduates an unprecedented foot in the door to learn from the best. Simultaneously, the ALP assists in curbing the talent shortage from an agency perspective.”

During the programme, the ALP interns will be trained jointly by both AMASA and the partner agencies, with each intern receiving a six-month remunerated contract with the agency as well as free entrance to the AAA media course and the AMASA Media Planning Workshop.
