The survey was carried out in February and March among 7 242 South African youths, aged eight to 22, in the urban and peri-urban environments of six provinces. HDI Youth Marketeers conducted the research analysis in conjunction with academic validation partner Monash South Africa, and statistician, Arien Strasheim.
