Coca-Cola brings FUZE Tea™ to South Africa
Marketing 463
The first member of the Coca-Cola® Family to be launched as a truly global brand was unveiled to a select group of media on The Main Change Building rooftop in downtown Johannesburg, on Thursday, 18 October.
FUZE Tea™ has launched globally in over 23 markets to date and with its refreshing infusion of tea extract, fruit flavor and water, and it has arrived in South Africa just in time for summer.
But fusion isn’t something that only happens in FUZE Tea™. Technology has helped create an increasingly borderless world and fusion is everywhere one looks. From the fusion of the old and the new to the fusion of cultures South Africans know all too well, and onwards to the many fusions in music, fashion or even food, fusion is becoming a must in the lives for young people today.
Emcee for the evening and founder of Flux Trends, Dion Chang observes that, “In our hyper-connected world it's not only inevitable that paths - that perhaps previously wouldn't - now cross, intersect and interact. You see this happening socially but more interestingly, in business. As the tech-savvy consumer voice becomes louder and more persuasive, providing that unforgettable customer experience has pushed non-related brands and industries to work together - to the delight and benefit, not only of the consumer, but also of unexpected brand collaborations that are mutually beneficial.”
Social and physical borders are coming down and the fusion that demands this results, more often than not, in amazing and beautiful new things. This type of change, the kind that is for the better, is refreshing – as refreshing as a FUZE Tea™. “We’re really excited to bring this exciting new ice tea offering to the market,” notes FUZE Tea™ senior brand manager, Linda Appie. Now is the time to shift the way you think and shift the ice-tea you drink. Embrace fusion for a more enlightened world.
