The Journey of Hope highlighted the plight of hunger and the positive impact that Add Hope is making. As part of the Journey of Hope, renowned South African adventurer Riaan Manser cycled the word “hope” across the country. This first of its kind, the Journey of Hope saw Manser cover 4100km in 2 months. He rode the course with a number of challenges, one being a limited calorie intake.

The Journey of Hope culminated in Johannesburg at Park Station, where the public and members of the media had the opportunity to join Add Hope’s fight against hunger by showing support and visiting the Wall of Hope installation to make their R2 donation. The Wall of Hope stood at the end of the finish line where an exhausted Riaan Manser deposited a single R2 coin.

Provantage have the exclusive media rights to Park Station and supplied the space for the event and the Wall of Hope. “We are very proud and excited to have been a part of such a necessary and highly beneficial fund raising event, one which will surely leave a strong legacy of hope. Park Station was the perfect finish line as it is a meeting point and transit node for hundreds of thousands of South Africans daily.

It represents the many journeys that South Africans make and on Friday, 2 November, it represented the journey made by adventurer Riaan Manser,” says Kabedi Ramosa of Provantage.
