The launch of the Every-Day Value category is part and parcel of Steers’ ongoing pursuit for ‘Real Awesome Value’, which has seen the brand place incredible focus on ensuring that South African consumers get real value for their hard-earned money.

“We are committed to giving customers more burger for their buck,” explains Steers marketing executive, Lou Boxall-Davies. “Our intention is to make a significant difference to our consumers from the 6th of November, when our new Steers menu is officially released across the country. The Pursuit of Real Awesome Value is not just marketing speak,” explains Boxall-Davies. “It is part of a company-wide focus to unlock greater value for customers at every level – which includes streamlining our supply chain management and logistics, negotiating better with suppliers and sometimes just making smarter choices - in order to ensure that every Steers customer benefits from real awesome value, every day.”

There is, however, one area in which Steers is not prepared to compromise or negotiate – it will not cut corners when it comes to its commitment to delivering the high standards South Africans expect from every Steers meal. The burgers are exactly the same 100% pure beef, flame-grilled burgers that have won the Best Burger category in the Leisure Options awards for the past 17 years. The chips are the same hand-made chips that have won the Best Chips category for the past 14 years, cooked to perfection and seasoned with Steers’ traditional seasoning salt.

“Eating out or even take aways are luxuries many Steers consumers have had to cut back on. But we believe that every South African should be able to enjoy South Africa’s favourite burgers and chips,” says Boxall-Davies.
