To celebrate and commemorate 175 years of help, First National Bank (FNB) has commissioned Kurt Wenner to create an original 3D art piece at FNB Bank. At one time or another everyone has all been amazed by those fascinating 3D paintings seen on sidewalks and then posted on the internet for all to view.
Whether it’s the kind of art that one likes or not, it’s absolutely enthralling. Wenner, the world’s master three-dimensional illusion artist, has been using his amazing techniques with campaigns across the globe for some time now, and has been responsible for creating massive hype in real time as well as on the virtual platform.
His art works have assisted in driving millions of potential customers to web sites and encouraging viral tidal waves on the internet – his paintings created the first ever visual art viral storm on the internet.
To celebrate and commemorate 175 years of help, FNB has commissioned Wenner to create an original 3D art piece at FNB Bank City, depicting Inner City renewal, beautification and revival.
“It’s wonderful to return to Johannesburg in Spring to install an original work as part of the celebration of 175 years of help and First National Bank’s ongoing commitment to the rejuvenation of the Inner City of Johannesburg” said Wenner from his home near Seattle in America "Pavement art in Urban spaces is a good way to propose a new vision for places and spaces often written off by the public, as well as create awareness through the social media."
The artwork will be on display on Thursday, 19 and Friday, 20 September at the First National Bank City premises - corner Kerk and Simmonds Streets, Johannesburg.
