28-year-old Nobuhle Ngubane was recently appointed as the assistant marketing manager of the Pavilion Shopping Centre. Ngubane grew up in Chesterville and completed her Matric at Durban Girls’ High School.
In 2007, she was employed as a customer service officer at GSD and then promoted to marketing assistant in 2009. She then moved on to work as marketing assistant at a shopping centre in KwaZulu-Natal where she remained until July, before moving to her current position.
For her, hard work, honesty and perseverance are the secrets to success and adds that her biggest achievement thus far, aside from raising her son, was completing her degree and landing the position with the Pavilion Shopping Centre in the same month.
Her advice for anyone starting out in the industry is to ask questions: “You never stop learning, so get involved in tasks – no matter how small,” she added.
In the future Ngubane would like to travel and learn more about Property Management.
