“The vineyard from which we source this Cabernet Sauvignon has produced consistent and exceptional quality for many years and includes accolades from Veritas, Wine Spectator and the Platter’s Wine Guide. We are truly proud of this year’s achievement,” says winemaker Warren Ellis.
The Vineyard Selection Cabernet Sauvignon 2010 also received a
Double Gold award at the 2013
Veritas Wine Awards.
Other achievements include consistent high ratings in
Wine Spectator,
Wine Advocate, previous 5 stars for the 2004 vintage and a total of six
Veritas Double Gold Awards since 1999. In 1986, Ellis set out to identify distinctive sites in which individual varieties will excel. Since then he has been producing world class wines from Darling, Elgin, Piekenierskloof and Stellenbosch. Today, the next stage of the journey has begun, with Neil’s son, Warren, taking over all winemaking and viticultural responsibilities.
The Vineyard Selection Cabernet Sauvignon 2010 is available to the public and wine club at the tasting room on the Helshoogte Pass.
