Established in 2012, Rainmaker Marketing is a company offering a turn-key marketing and sales solution for property developers.

“We are extremely proud of the phenomenal growth that we have achieved thus far, particularly since Rainmaker Marketing opened its doors at a time when development budgets were at their tightest and sales at their lowest. The property market was probably at one of its lowest points ever, and the idea to open a specialist property marketing agency therefore seemed like a ludicrous concept to many - especially considering that our model was initially based on branding and not selling. In spite of this we have not only survived, but actually exceeded growth expectations,” explains Stefan Botha, director of Rainmaker Marketing.

He continues, “The reality of our success lies in the fact that developers needed a holistic branding solution more than ever, and that the market required a focused, personalised and cost-effective method for developers to still achieve sales whilst the market was at a low point.”

Having initially started as a one-man operation, the company now employs a team of in-house specialists covering every area of the development marketing and sales mix. In addition to this Rainmaker Marketing has incorporated a sales solution into their model, ultimately complementing the overall development marketing offering. Botha says, “We have formed some key sales alliances and structures to ensure that we can offer a proficient sales solution. On some projects we have partnered with one of the fastest growing Real Estate brands in the country, whereas on other projects we have worked with an existing team or recruited and managed a development sales team ourselves.”

Boasting clients such as San Martinho Beach Club in Mozambique, Mjejane Lifestyle adjacent to Kruger National Park, Seasons Lifestyle Estate in Hartbeesport and West Pirogue in Mauritius, Rainmaker Marketing has formed successful partnerships with some the most esteemed developers in Africa.

“We are currently in the process of launching a Real Estate Scheme (RES) development in Flic en Flac Mauritius, which is geared directly at the South African market. This is an example of a project that we started working on almost 12 month ago. Having commenced with a market research study, we have been involved in every step of the project including consulting on layout, facilities, sizes, décor and architecture. The result will be a project that we believe will cater for the South African market in every possible way, ultimately meeting our client’s vision and objective for the development,” explains Botha.

He ends, “Having already proven that there is undoubtedly a need for property marketing specialists regardless of the market conditions, our plan for the future is to keep growing, to continue forming partnerships with top developers and ultimately to be known as Southern Africa’s leading property branding agency. With our current track record I am confident that we will accomplish this.”
