Since Bosch announced his arrival in the industry with a bang as lead singer of the band Straatligkinders, he hasn’t stopped reaching new heights in entertainment.

In 2011 his career officially took off and he released his first solo album Almal Maak Voute. He also gained popularity by starring in films such as Klein Karoo, Mooi Rivier, Strikdas, Pad na jou Hart and Trouvoete.

Bosch has also proven himself as a filmmaker with the production Vuil Wasgoed, which won Best Short Film at the 2015 kykNET Silwerskerm Festival – a movie produced by Bouwer Bosch Films and that he and Bennie Fourie wrote, directed and starred in.

In 2015, the producers of the movie Die Pro approached him to write the theme song, and subsequently he sings Vlug on the soundtrack.

Since May 2015 he’s also presented his actuality programme Flits on kykNET on Thursdays.

Bosch is filming the new Deon Meyer movie, Jagveld, at the moment.

But this busy star is ecstatic to further his music career with his new single and says, “Hopelik is about being vulnerable. In a relationship, in my case my marriage, growth is important and to be vulnerable is important for yourself and the relationship.”

“Honesty hurts and is one of the most difficult aspects of a relationship. To wear your heart on your sleeve is harder than you think. Hopelik is a song that challenges me to be vulnerable in my marriage and in my relationship with other people.”

Bosch, Peach van Pletzen and Matthieu Auriacombe wrote the song.
