According to the Television Audience Measurement Survey (TAMS), the lifestyle channel, which focusses on food, relationships and style, is now one of the favourite lifestyle channels among Afrikaans DStv viewers. Data measured on Sunday, 8 May 2016 also indicates VIA’s daily audience has grown by 56% since its launch.

Viewers’ favourites include programmes such as Kom Ons Braai (Fridays at 18:00), Zavion (Tuesdays at 18:00), the dating show Wie’s my Liefie? (Thursdays at 18:00) as well as the wedding shows My Droom-Trourok (Fridays at 17:30) and Pasgetroud (Tuesdays at 18:00).

In the last week of May, VIA will launch seven new shows with a strong focus on lifestyle entertainment. This includes Ure, a reality show that offers viewers a glimpse into the lives of celebrated surgeon Dr Susan Vosloo and the cardiology team at Christiaan Barnard Hospital in Cape Town. The much-loved TV personality Nina Swart returns to the small screen with the talk show Jou Storie met Nina and in Diere-dokters we follow a team of dynamic vets in Johannesburg.

As of May, three VIA shows are also available on DStv Catch Up. Viewers will now be able to watch the third seasons of the popular food show Inspirasiekos met SARIE, the fun travel show Vrydag 4 uur and the brand-new Diere-dokters on DStv’s weekly catch-up service.
