The Vth Season has been instrumental alongside AKA, the award-winning musician, in working towards many firsts for South African musicians. The entertainment and music agency announced on Monday, 26 September, that AKA will be the first musician on the cover of GQ South Africa magazine.
Not only is AKA the first South African musician to feature on the cover of
GQ South Africa magazine, in the last five years, only three South Africans have featured on the
GQ South Africa magazine cover, making AKA the fourth South African to feature on South Africa’s forefront of men's fashion, influence and innovation magazine in half a decade.
The October issue of GQ South Africa magazine is linked to the brand’s Best Dressed Men of the Year Awards which has become one of South Africa’s premier dates on the social calendar; to which AKA is no stranger featuring as early as 2011 on their Top 10 list.
“Team Vth Season works with extremely talented individuals, operating carefully behind the scenes, patiently persevering through the steps to reaching these milestones. This cover is a major celebration of our hard-work and determination,” shares Ninel Musson, Vth Season director.
