With society becoming increasingly interested in maintaining healthy lifestyles, the need to provide fitness solutions that fit into their lives has also increased. The result? More independent fitness studios with niche training methods.

Mark Fawzy saw a gap in the market with the increase in alternative fitness studios. Being a member of one himself, he noticed that most owners were gym trainers and not avid businessmen and that they needed a partner to assist in the day-to-day management of their businesses.

Although today, BoxChamp offers a full range of features for gym owners and their members, the platform was born when Fawzy was training at a CrossFit Box and his training performance records were destroyed when his wet gym towel ruined his logbook. With so much of our everyday lives being managed online, it was crazy that there was still a need to have a physical logbook to track workouts and growth.

What started out as a passion project, soon became Fawzy’s sole focus, a shift which is paying off. BoxChamp has 13 000 active users and is currently making the admin and business side of managing a fitness studio easier and more streamlined for over 120 gym owners using the platform.

The continuous growth of the platform on local soil has enabled Fawzy to tackle an international market. The platform is already available in global hubs like Dubai and the UK. The fact that the platform is still so young and adaptable is what give it the edge when competing against established platforms doing similar things. BoxChamp is committed to meeting the needs of their users and the fact that it can adapt to these needs is what sets it apart.
