The Club sets itself apart by presenting an inclusive experience for all members of the broader LGBTI+ community.
This new project is a collaboration between some of the country's top gay and lesbian event promoters: Kerry Knowles (1
st Friday), Bruce Walker (Risqué, Babylon the club, Pretoria Pride), and Pieter Rossouw (Qc, Fireman’s Ball, SAEvents).
“For far too long, we've seen our community split along gender and other lines when it comes to having a great night out,” says Knowles.
“That's going to change with The Club,” she says. “We aim to have all of us - lesbian, bi, gay, trans, and everyone else - coming together to celebrate in a stylish safe space, feeling absolutely comfortable to mingle and be ourselves, no matter where we sit on the community spectrum.”
Located in Pineslopes, a prime spot in the north of the city, the stylish purpose-built multi-level club offers VIP areas, an outside area and ample free and secure parking.
The Club will debut with a New Year’s Eve party, called Pink NYE, and then The Club will be open every first Friday of the month.
Entertainment for Pink NYE features Che Cherry, a DJ and vocalist who has performed from Ibiza to Paris to Warsaw. Other DJs include M@sh and Lucky.
