Both Theron and Myburgh had to prepare a three-course menu for judges Mari-Louis Guy and Nic van Wyk. Theron's take on the avocado ritz for a starter, chicken cordon bleu for the main course, and chocolate pudding with cherries for dessert secured him the title of winner.

“I honestly can’t believe that I won, especially because Christi is formidable in the kitchen,” says Theron. “Kokkedoortjie changed my life and I’m proud to tell the whole world that I love to cook.”

Theron's main prize is a Mediterranean boat cruise, compliments Pentravel, and will depart on Saturday, 1 July with his mom, Marietjie, and sister, Martli. In addition, Myburgh and his family will be travelling to Mauritius, also sponsored by Pentravel.

kykNET announces that there will be a follow-up series of Kokkedoortjie, but this time with a baking theme. Entries are now open for children between the ages of nine and 13 years old.

Kokkedoortjie judges van Wyk and Guy will again be judging the ten contestants. Entries close on Friday, 25 August.
